SEALANTS
Sealants are thin layers of resin that are placed on the pits, fissures, and grooves of molars to help prevent decay on these surfaces. The majority of decay on back teeth starts in the grooves and pits of chewing surfaces, especially during the first few years after their eruption. Sealing these surfaces with composite resins prevents this kind of decay.

Sealants are one of the most effective methods of preventing decay on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. Although it is still a possibility that decay may develop on surfaces in between teeth, sealants significantly reduce the overall chance of having cavities.
Hygiene Appointment
As part of your hygiene appointment, our hygienist will apply sealants to your teeth.
X-Rays
X-rays will accompany your hygiene appointments to assess the overall health of your teeth.

Sealants contribute to a more complete protection of your oral health.
Cavities & Decay
Sealants prevent cavities from occuring in the deep grooves of your teeth.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

To ensure sealants are affordable to all of our patients, we offer a variety of payment methods. We accept most major credit cards, checks, and cash. In addition to these traditional methods we accept health savings accounts, CareCredit. If you have a specific payment question call our office, or ask during your appointment.

INSURANCE

Prior to scheduling treatment at our office, you'll speak with our financial coordinator to discuss the cost of sealant and the financial specifics of your individual care. If you have insurance, usually this service is covered with your policy; however, that may not always be the case. If you don't have insurance, we'll outline your options for you!
